CSR POLICY

(Inter-)national Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of the organization for BCSK. It is that mission with which we want to contribute to the world. Our vision of continuity is the basis for this.

The CSR playing field is large and the conditioned storage sector is not a player with much power and/or influence. We want to respond to CSR as much as possible, but we know our limitations and must make choices. We make these choices based on an analysis of stakeholders, for example, and we will adjust the results of this in our policy every year. BCSK has chosen four topics based on initial analyses: environment, employee, market and society. Policy and objectives have been formulated on these.
Working together on a better living environment, for now and for the future, is our starting point. In doing so, we consider an optimal balance between people, the environment and society. The result: we realize lasting quality. We do this by focusing on five themes:
  1. Life cycle thinking and doing (environment) - energy and CO2: reduce and invest in sustainable energy (generation) - waste: reduce where possible at the source and prevent raw material depletion.
  2. Our people, standards and values (employee) - working conditions: setting up a healthy and safe working environment - integrity: communicating and collaborating openly and honestly.
  3. Chain collaboration (market) - Chain responsibility: creating optimal value together with stakeholders.
  4. In the middle of society (society) - social involvement: achieving a positive impact in local communities where we operate.
  5. Innovation for a qualitative living environment: optimizing the coherence between nature, housing, mobility and energy supplies with innovative solutions.
The sustainable development of our business activities is our drive within CSR. Sustainable developments in which social, ecological, economic and cultural aspects are in dynamic harmony. BCSK conducts policy within all these subjects and, if necessary, implements quarterly evaluations to maximize the contribution to an optimal balance between people, the environment, the market and society. BCSK has implemented this policy by:
